How To Make Gigi Hadid’s Easy Pasta Recipe

I’m still obsessed with this pasta that celebrity Gigi Hadid shared. It’s spicy, delicious and my boyfriend asks me to make it all the time! I am mostly surprised by how little cheese is involved. The end result is totally worth it — it’s spicy and full of flavor.

Gigi Hadid’s Pasta Recipe

  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic (diced)
  • 1/4 Green Onion
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tbsp Vodka
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 225 grams Shell Pasta
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • Basil (chopped, to serve)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. Cook pasta to al dente, or according to package instructions. I have also used penne pasta instead of shells. Both taste great! Ensure to save 1/2 cup of cooking water before draining.

  2. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil, garlic, and green onion. Cook until soft.

  3. Add tomato paste and cook for 2-3, until it appears darker in colour.

  4. Add in the vodka and cook until evaporated.

  5. Add in the heavy cream and red pepper flakes. Stir until combined. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove sauce from the heat once thickened.

  6. Once the pasta is cooked and drained, it's time to finish the sauce. Bring pan back to heat on medium. Add in the butter. Stir until melted.

  7. Add in the pasta and past water. Stir.

  8. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  9. Plate, top with Parmesan cheese and basil, and serve!

Add a bit of water to the onions and garlic if you don’t want them burning too soon. It will keep them soft and the water will evaporate.

 

No vodka? I’ve used white wine vinegar and it tastes delicious!
